Clare Weigert

Clare Weigert began dancing at the age of three in the Madison area. She has trained in various styles including, ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary among others. She also danced competitively throughout high school. She has been teaching since age 14 and has taught many styles, levels, and age groups. In high school, Clare choreographed shows for Middleton High School Theater. Some of these shows include Girls Like That, The Addams Family, Singing in the Rain, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Clare also trained with CLI studios in their dance training program.

 

Clare has trained at Perry-Mansfield with both Jacob Jonas the Company and the Jose Limon Company. She has performed her work in both the Kloepper concert and the H’doubler concert at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has also performed the work of Kate Corby in the dance department faculty concert in 2023. In 2023 she performed at ACDA in the adjudication concert and was selected again in 2024 to perform her work as well as faculty work at the North Central Regional Conference. Clare is a recipient of the Buff Brenan Senior Honors Award.

 

Currently, and is pursuing a B.S. in dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After college, she plans to go on to become a physical therapist. Clare currently teaches dance at Vibe, the place to dance in Madison, and acts as the Program Coordinator and instructor for the city of Middleton Parks and Recreation department's dance program.

 

Clare looks to continue her career in dance through teaching and choreography.
