2026–2027 Season Auditions

For the 2026–2027 season, Madison Contemporary Dance will focus on expanding our highly successful after-school programs throughout Dane County schools while continuing to create powerful performance opportunities for artists.

We are seeking experienced, reliable dance educators and collaborative performers to support our growing programs.

Teaching Artist Opportunities

Selected teaching artists will:

Lead after-school dance programs
Compensation: $60–$70 per class
Receive paid performance opportunities
Help build creativity, confidence, and community through movement

We are especially looking for teachers who:

Are passionate about working with youth
Are committed to making dance accessible to all
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills

Company Dancer Auditions

We seek artistic, collaborative, and hard-working dancers (high school seniors and older) trained in contemporary and/or street styles.

Auditions are video submission only.

MCD Dancers Receive

A season stipend and paid performance opportunities
Sponsorship perks, including:
- Year-long gym membership with Harbor Athletic Club
- Monthly performance training sessions with Paramount Performance Physical Therapy
Professional photography and videography
Promotion as individual artists
Opportunities to earn additional income through teaching and administrative work
Teacher training and dance teaching job placement assistance

Our Goals

Create unique new works of art
Grow professionally as a group and as individuals
Provide dance opportunities for local students, regardless of income
Strengthen and connect local dance communities

Rehearsal Schedule

Sundays, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM September – November 2026
