Non Members can join us for $22 a class or $18 a class with a Studio Pass Card.

Children’s Ballet (Ages 7+)
This class invites young dancers of all experience levels to explore the joy of ballet in an encouraging, age-appropriate environment. Whether your child is new to dance or building on previous training, they’ll develop strength, balance, and confidence through foundational ballet technique and expressive movement.
Children will build core strength, balance, flexibility, and grace while learning the foundational movements of ballet and modern dance. Beyond physical benefits, ballet also supports important developmental skills like focus, body awareness, and confidence. Through structured technique and expressive movement, children learn how to carry themselves with posture and poise, express emotions through dance, and experience the joy of movement in a supportive space. Whether your child dreams of the stage or simply loves to move, this class lays a strong foundation for all styles of dance.

Adult Ballet
Ballet is for everyone—at every age. Tyra’s adult class welcomes beginners and returning dancers alike for an uplifting experience that builds core strength, posture, flexibility, and balance through elegant, low-impact movement.
This class emphasizes alignment, flow, and artistry, offering a welcoming space to build strength, refine technique, and enjoy the beauty of movement. Whether you’re stepping into ballet for the first time or have studied for years, you’ll be part of a supportive community that grows and moves together. You’ll leave feeling taller, stronger, and more centered—both physically and mentally—all while being part of a welcoming group that celebrates movement and self-expression.
About Tyra Lex
Tyra is a dynamic dancer, choreographer, and instructor known for her versatility, artistry, and passion for teaching. With strong roots in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, and acrobatics, Tyra brings both technical precision and creative expression to every class she leads. Her wide-ranging experience allows her to meet dancers where they are—helping them build strength, confidence, and joy in their movement. Tyra is a professional dancer with Madison Contemporary Dance, she inspires dancers of all ages through thoughtful, engaging instruction that blends structure with self-expression.
Youth Hip-Hop (Ages 7+)
This high-energy class introduces students to the fundamentals of hip-hop in a fun, supportive environment. Dancers will build confidence, coordination, rhythm, and musicality through age-appropriate choreography and freestyle exploration.
Whether your child is brand new to dance or has previous experience, this class encourages self-expression, teamwork, and physical fitness—all while having a blast. Taught by Peyton Yang, a dynamic instructor and performer, students will leave each class feeling stronger, more capable, and excited to move.
Adult Hip-Hop

About Peyton Yang
Peyton Yang’s adult hip-hop class is a welcoming space for beginners and dancers of all levels. This upbeat class combines cardio, coordination, and core strength with the expressive, empowering energy of hip-hop. Classes are based on hip hop foundations such as the bounce, rock, grooves, weight changes, party moves, and footwork. You’ll learn choreography at your own pace, improve musicality and rhythm, and boost your confidence in a positive community of movers. Come for the workout, stay for the vibe—no experience required, just a willingness to move and enjoy.
Dance Exploration (Ages 2-6)
Our Dance Exploration class rooted in ballet and modern dance is a joyful introduction that helps young children develop coordination, confidence, and creativity in a nurturing environment. Through imaginative play, storytelling, and expressive movement, dancers build body awareness, balance, and rhythm—all while having fun.
Children will:

Explore yoga-inspired movement to support flexibility, focus, and self-regulation

Practice age-appropriate tumbling including log rolls, forward/backward rolls, bridges, cartwheels, and handstands using safe progressions
Each class supports motor skill development, social-emotional growth, and a love of movement. Whether they’re stretching like a cat or leaping like a superhero, your child will grow stronger and more confident each week!

About Sara Rohs
Sara Rohs has been teaching dance for 24 years and is the proud mother of two boys. She leads after-school dance programs, coaches a middle school dance team, and teaches at Synergy Dance Academy. Sara is the founder, an artistic director of Madison Contemporary Dance, a professional nonprofit company dedicated to making dance accessible to all. Sara follows the Love and Logic teaching philosophy - Key principles include setting clear, loving limits, using empathy to address problems, and guiding students/children towards problem-solving.
