The advice I always share with my students is simple: don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is part of learning, and perfection isn’t the goal—growth is. When you let go of comparison and the pressure to get everything ‘right’ immediately, you give yourself the freedom to explore, take risks, and fully invest in mastering new skills and styles of dance.
My Story
Lilly Crochet is a dynamic and multifaceted artist in the dance world, widely recognized for her talent as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Her journey began at just three years old, launching more than two decades of dedicated training and performance experience. She built her foundation at West Side Performing Arts before further advancing her skills at Synergy Dance Academy during her middle school years. By high school, Lilly had distinguished herself on the competitive circuit, earning a coveted place in the prestigious Tremaine Performance Program—a pivotal achievement that confirmed her lifelong commitment to dance.
Versatility is a hallmark of Lilly’s artistry. She specializes in Musical Theater, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, and more, bringing depth and precision to every style she performs. During her collegiate training at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), she immersed herself in Musical Theater, honing her singing and acting abilities to complement her dancing. Her stage presence has captivated audiences in a variety of productions, from lead roles in Cinderella and Swan Lake to her recent performance in the MDC Concert Gratitude in 2023.
Beyond performance, Lilly’s influence extends into teaching and choreography. Her innovative works consistently earn accolades at competitions, where judges praise her creativity, technical precision, and ability to tell compelling stories through movement. She thrives in collaboration, working alongside other artists to explore new avenues of expression that reflect her evolving vision.
While teaching and mentoring young dancers remains a deeply rewarding part of her career, Lilly’s ultimate dream has always been Broadway. Fueled by the same passion that first led her to the stage as a child, she is preparing to return to New York City with the goal of bringing her artistry to one of the world’s most iconic stages.
