Alexandra Morales will be graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Health and Wellness Promotion from the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities in May 2020. While in school, she co curated a production entitled “Blueprint”, fulfilled a teaching dance practicum at Ballare Teatro, choreographed works for five composition showings, and completed an arts administration internship at Lundstrum Performing Arts. She was also selected to perform in pieces by renowned choreographers, Robert Moses, Pramila Vasudevan, Eko Supriyanto, and Chris Schlichting, among numerous student-choreographed works. She was a featured soloist in Robert Moses’ “Cause” in December 2019, and the piece was chosen to compete at the American College Dance Association in March 2020.

Originally from DeForest, WI, Alexandra began dancing at the age of three. She trained at A Step Above Dance and Music Academy under Tamra Bisbee and Storybook Ballet under Meredith Mast. She was a member of the A Step Beyond Dance Company for nine years, in which she had the opportunity to compete at many regional dance competitions. Alexandra graduated as Valedictorian from the DeForest Area High School in 2016.

 

This is Alexandra’s second season with Madison Contemporary Dance, and she looks forward to sharing her passion for dance with the Madison area.
