Kylee Krutsinger

Dance is the way I express myself. It makes me feel free like the rest of the world just fades away. I want to be able to share my abilities with others in a way that makes them feel transported from the stress and worry of everyday life.

Kylee is a contemporary dancer with a strong foundation in ballet and jazz, beginning her training at age five with A Step Above and later refining her skills at Monona Academy of Dance. She has performed with the Isthmus Dance Collective’s D.E.L.V.E. Project at the MYArts Theatre and is currently a company apprentice with Madison Contemporary Dance. As a ballet instructor at Foundations Dance for the past two years, Kylee has taught technique and choreographed for both classes and her high school dance team. She is passionate about combining technical precision with expressive movement while inspiring the next generation of dancers.

My Story

Kylee is a dedicated and versatile dancer whose journey began at the age of five. Most of her training was rooted at A Step Above, where she focused on ballet and jazz while also competing on their dance teams. She later expanded her training at Monona Academy of Dance, deepening her technique and refining her artistry. Throughout her development, Kylee embraced the values of hard work and collaboration—lessons that shaped her growth as both a performer and teacher.

While ballet and jazz formed the foundation of her training, Kylee gradually explored a broader range of styles, including contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Today, she primarily identifies as a contemporary dancer, blending her strong technical base with expressive movement. Recently, she performed with the Isthmus Dance Collective’s D.E.L.V.E. Project at the MYArts Theatre, where she showcased her versatility in both Indian and contemporary works.

In addition to performing, Kylee has built a strong foundation as a teacher and choreographer. She has spent the past two years as a ballet instructor at Foundations Dance, where she not only teaches technical skills but also choreographs, including works for her high school dance team. Her dedication to guiding young dancers reflects her passion for passing on the same encouragement and discipline that shaped her own career.

Now entering her first year as a company apprentice with Madison Contemporary Dance, Kylee is eager to continue growing as both an artist and teacher. With a balance of technical precision, creative exploration, and a collaborative spirit, she is building a path that highlights her versatility and passion for dance.
