Kate Huskey

My Story

Kate Huskey has been an integral member of Madison Contemporary Dance (MCD) for six years, during which she has served as Assistant Director for two years. Her journey in dance began at the age of four, exploring various styles at A Step Above Dance in Monona until her high school graduation.

Specializing in contemporary dance, Kate has showcased her talents with MCD for six years. Notable performances include three years at the prestigious Overture Center, two years at alternative venues, and a return to the Overture Center in 2023. Additionally, she has contributed to MCD's annual Holidays Collide show for three consecutive years.

One of Kate's significant achievements was assuming the role of Assistant Director, marking a pivotal milestone in her dance career. Beyond accolades, Kate's passion for dance stems from its transformative power as both a sport and a personal growth catalyst.
