Company Member and Choreographer

Sarah grew up training at Monona Academy of Dance in Wisconsin, starting at age four. She studied ballet, pointe, contemporary, modern, jazz, and tap. Sarah has danced in performances of The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardee, Coppelia, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and other ballets. She was a member of pre-professional company Dance Wisconsin for three years and has both performed and had her work shown at Regional Dance America in the Mid States region. In 2018, Sarah won the Monticello Award for her piece “Reaching for Stability” and was awarded a full scholarship to the National Choreography Intensive where she studied under Janis Brenner and Jerome Begin. That same summer, Sarah studied at the Fort Wayne Ballet summer intensive. This fall, Sarah will begin her sophomore year at UW Madison, where she will be a part of the dance department. This is her third season with MCD and she is very excited to perform with them!
