
Samantha Brown

Recently relocated to Milwaukee from Phoenix, AZ this year. Samantha began dancing when she was three years old and studied multiple genres of dance including ballet, modern, jazz, tap,hip-hop, african and ballroom. Samantha graduated from Grand Canyon University in Arizona with a Bachelor in Dance Education. During her time at GCU Samantha was a seasoned choreographer for the Theater department and was able to choreograph shows such as, “Seussical the musical,” “HMS Pinafore,”and “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.” While in school, Samantha was also given multiple opportunities to perform in students' work and traveled to NYC to perform with Leanne Schmidt and Company. After graduating, she was the director of the dance program at Trevor G. Browne High School for five years. During her time as a teacher she also continued to perform professionally throughout Arizona and was a principal dancer for CaZo Dance Company and Prolifics Dance Company. Currently, Samantha is attending Mount Mary University to complete her Masters of Science in Professional Counseling with a School Counselor concentration as well as working with Danceworks Milwaukee as a teacher for their Mad Hot Tap/Ballroom program.
This is Samantha’s second year with Madison Contemporary Dance Company and she is looking forward to creating a community here in Wisconsin with other dancers and sharing her passion for the arts.
