Michelle Strohm is an eighth year member with Madison Contemporary Dance Company. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old at Monona Academy of Dance studying all styles: ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, partnering, and character dancing. Throughout high school, she participated in summer dance intensives from Jordan Academy of Dance at Butler University, Joffrey Midwest, and Ballet Austin.

Michelle was on Monona Grove's High School Dance Team for 4 years. She graduated from high school a semester early and moved to Austin, Texas where she trained with Ballet Austin. She was a part of Milwaukee’s Professional Dance Team –Riptide (Milwaukee's Professional Indoor Soccer Team). Michelle has also been apart of the Milwaukee Professional Dance Team the Brewer’s Diamond Dancers. She was shown in the Milwaukee Brewer’s ‘Happy’ video during the 2014 season when they went to post-season.

Michelle graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in December of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She was a part of the UW Dance Company. In spring of 2015 she traveled with UW Dance Company to Missouri for the American Dance College Dance Association (ACDA) Central Conference. Michelle was a lead soloist in the production Pursuit (2016) produced by Lo Marie and choreographed by Val Homburg, Kallie Tierney and AJ Juarez.

Michelle received her dual teaching license in Early Childhood and Special Education in January of 2017 and is a Cross-Categorical (Special Education) teacher working for the Madison Metropolitan School District at Olson Elementary. She loves teaching, working with young children, and sharing her passion for inquiry based science education. She also loves taking care of her hedgehog Luna and spending time with her daughter Sophie and husband Ryan.
