
Faith Rae

Faith Rae is an emerging, Milwaukee and Madison-based dance artist pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance and Choreography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Faith is a dance and fitness instructor with experience working at Madison Dance Academy and Brookfield Center for the Arts for two years each. Her passion for education in movement led her to become a Group X Pilates instructor on campus for one year.
Along with her teaching experience, she has trained in a wide variety of styles including modern, contemporary, pointe, ballet, hip hop, jazz, African diaspora, Iyengar Yoga and Pilates. While at UWM, she performed in over eight shows choreographed by faculty and guest artists Gina Laurenzi, Emma Draves, DeMar Walker, Maria Gillespie and Marina Magalhães. She also took part in a Support for Undergraduate Research Fellows with faculty member Daniel Burkholder.
Along with her performances, she choreographed a duet titled Shattered Reflection for her senior project show, New Dancemakers: Viewed and Perceived 2021.
After graduation, she plans to continue performing, teaching and choreographing in the Milwaukee area as well as perform as a company member of Madison Contemporary Dance.
