Ally Kenison

A native of Madison, Ally Kenison served as an Associate Artistic Director and dancer for the Madison Contemporary Vision Dance Company. From the age of five, she has trained extensively with some of the area’s leading dance schools. She began dancing competitively at the age of six, even winning the title of “Performer of Excellence” at the age of eleven. She was invited to perform with the University of Madison Dance Program at age twelve and attended the Beginnings Workshop for acting and dance in upstate New York just one year later. She continued her training throughout high school and furthered her training in college.

 

Ally graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point (UWSP) in 2008 with a major in Dance and a minor in French. At UWSP, she took classes under many prestigious companies including Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, River North Chicago, and Susan Marshall Dance Company. Her choreography was chosen to be presented in various productions at UWSP; one of them being chosen to be presented at the American Collegiate Dance Festival in St. Louis.

 

Upon graduating, Ally continued to choreograph and teach. Her extensive experience in Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Tap, and Pom has provided her the opportunity to teach and choreograph for prestigious competitive and artistic studios.


Ally is a former member of the Milwaukee Brewer’s Diamond Dancers and has appeared in music videos in Nashville, TN. Currently, Ally teaches at local studios and works in real estate. Her primary interests lie in combining her passion for dance with a balanced lifestyle that includes nutrition, positive personal development, and community outreach. Ally strives to use these to be a positive role model for dancers and youth around the Midwest.
